Acceptance of Terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Leon Megé website, your purchase of products and services from Leon Megé, and your interactions with our company. By accessing our website, submitting information, requesting a quote, scheduling a consultation, placing an order, or purchasing any product or service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, please GO AWAY. Do not use our website or purchase our products or services.
Products and Services
Leon Megé specializes in the design, manufacture, and sale of the finest handmade-to-order jewelry, diamonds, colored gemstones, precious metals, and related services. All jewelry is handcrafted and custom-made unless explicitly stated otherwise. Due to the bespoke nature of our work, variations in appearance, dimensions, weight, and other characteristics may occur and shall not be considered defects.
Pricing and Estimates
All prices are quoted in U.S. Dollars and are subject to change without notice. Price quotations, estimates, and proposals are valid only for the period specified in writing. Diamond and gemstone prices fluctuate based on market conditions, availability, and exchange rates. We reserve the right to revise quotations before acceptance and receipt of payment. Custom projects require explicit approval, usually in writing, before production begins.
Deposits and Payments
Custom jewelry orders require a deposit or full payment before work commences. Deposits are non-refundable once design, sourcing, manufacturing, or production activities have begun. Once the Purchase Order (PO) is signed, diamonds, gemstones, and custom-manufactured components cannot be returned or canceled.
Final balances must be paid in full before shipment or delivery.
Leon Megé reserves the right to suspend work, withhold delivery, or cancel orders if payment obligations are not fulfilled.
Custom Design Process
All custom jewelry is created based on the client’s information, specifications, images, measurements, and instructions. Clients are responsible for reviewing and approving all design proposals, renderings, sketches, specifications, and measurements before production. Approval constitutes acceptance of the design and authorization to proceed. Changes requested after approval may result in additional fees, delays, or production limitations.
Diamond and Gemstone Information
Natural diamonds and gemstones possess unique characteristics, inclusions, color variations, and growth features. Laboratory reports, grading reports, and gemstone descriptions represent professional opinions and not guarantees.
Leon Megé relies on information provided by independent gemological laboratories, including GIA and other recognized institutions. We are not responsible for differences in grading opinions between laboratories or future changes in grading standards.
Product Photography and Website Content
Photographs, videos, renderings, and illustrations on our website are provided for reference purposes only. Actual appearance may vary due to monitor calibration, lighting conditions, photography techniques, gemstone characteristics, metal finishes, and magnification. Dimensions and details shown in photographs may not accurately represent actual size. We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but do not guarantee that all website content is complete, current, or error-free. We are not responsible for any pricing errors published on the website; they are not intentional and cannot be honored.
Intellectual Property
All website content, including text, photographs, videos, designs, renderings, illustrations, logos, trademarks, trade dress, and jewelry designs, is the exclusive property of Leon Megé unless otherwise noted. No content may be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, published, or used without prior written permission. Submission of photographs, testimonials, reviews, comments, or other materials grants Leon Megé a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, publish, display, and distribute such materials for marketing, promotional, educational, or business purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Shipping and Delivery
Risk of loss transfers to the client upon confirmed delivery to the shipping address provided by the client. Delivery dates are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Leon Megé shall not be liable for delays caused by shipping carriers, customs authorities, weather events, supply-chain disruptions, labor shortages, acts of government, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Clients are responsible for providing accurate shipping and contact information.
Collection and fees
The balance on custom work must be paid in full within 30 days. Failure to pay the balance will result in 2.5% interest, compounded monthly, added to the total. Failure to pay the balance within three months of the initial purchase will result in the deposit’s complete forfeiture. Failure to settle the balance within six months will trigger legal action to collect any amount due without further notice. If the project is abandoned for any reason, the customer remains responsible for the full amount, regardless of the project’s stage of completion. We are a professional business holding up our end of the deal. It’s not only important but vital that our clients reciprocate; otherwise, we will employ all available legal options to recover the funds.
Delinquent Accounts
All charges are payable by the due date shown on the billing statement. Accounts that remain unpaid are considered delinquent, and interest will be assessed on any unpaid balance.
Calculation of Penalty and Interest
Charges are considered delinquent 30 days after the due date. Interest is assessed on the unpaid balance when a charge becomes delinquent and is calculated at 1.5% per month until paid in full. A one-time 10 percent penalty will also be charged. Late-payment penalties and interest charges will be tabulated.
Interest Rates on Overdue and Delinquent Debts
In addition to accruing interest on any unpaid balance, clients will be subject to a hold on their accounts. If the account remains unpaid, Leon Megé, Inc. will submit it for collection in accordance with New York State guidelines.
Returns and Cancellations
If you think you can return a custom-made piece, you need a reality check. Because most Leon Megé jewelry is custom designed and manufactured to individual specifications, custom orders are generally non-returnable and non-refundable.
Any return privileges, if offered, must be expressly stated in writing and are subject to inspection and approval. Unauthorized returns may be refused.
Repairs, Modifications, and Client-Owned Property
Items submitted for repair, restoration, modification, resizing, stone setting, or other services are accepted at the client’s risk. While every reasonable precaution is taken, Leon Megé shall not be liable for damage resulting from pre-existing conditions, structural weaknesses, hidden defects, prior repairs, manufacturing deficiencies, gemstone treatments, or ordinary risks associated with jewelry work. Clients acknowledge that older, fragile, heavily worn, or previously modified jewelry may be particularly susceptible to damage during servicing.
Lifetime quality and servicing guarantee
The Leon Megé brand and reputation are your best assurance of impeccable quality and aesthetic perfection. Each piece complies with the highest manufacturing standards and is guaranteed to be free from any manufacturing defects for life. Our lifetime quality and servicing guarantee covers every manufacturing fault or latent defect except for damage caused by fair wear and tear, loss, theft, inappropriate use, or natural disaster.
All warranty repairs and adjustments for issues resulting from manufacturing defects will be performed free of charge, with Leon Megé, Inc. covering all domestic shipping costs. Our quality-control staff inspects every item at 20x magnification before delivery, so defects are highly unlikely. In cases where repair is not feasible, we reserve the right to scrap the piece entirely and remake it from scratch. Whenever possible, we replace the item with one of equivalent size, grade, and value.
The loss of micro pavé stones (1.5 mm or smaller) is almost inevitable. This is not the result of faulty manufacturing; the small size of these stones inherently limits the strength and stability of the beads that hold them in place. Delicate pavé work, however beautiful, can be affected by even moderate wear.
Replacing lost pavé stones is never a problem. Labor is free of charge; the customer is only responsible for the cost of the stones and shipping. Due to the high risk of fraud, Leon Megé is not responsible for the loss of any stone larger than 2 mm, regardless of when or under what circumstances the loss occurs. Replacement costs for such stones are the customer’s sole responsibility. Please consult your insurance provider. Larger stones will be reset free of charge, except in cases that require repairs or adjustments.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The warranty does not apply to any estate jewelry, items sold at a discounted price, or items sold in “as-is” condition. Please check the warranty status before purchasing. Except where expressly stated in writing, services and website content are provided “as is” and without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Leon Megé disclaims all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or trade usage.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Leon Megé shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from the use of our website, products, or services.
In no event shall Leon Megé’s total liability exceed the amount actually paid by the client for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Leon Megé, its owners, employees, contractors, affiliates, successors, and representatives from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, or expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of your violation of these Terms and Conditions or your use of our products, services, or website.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms and Conditions, our products, services, or website shall first be submitted to good-faith negotiation between the parties. If a dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration in New York County, New York, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The parties waive any right to participate in class actions or representative proceedings.
Changes to Terms
Leon Megé reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Revised terms become effective immediately upon publication on this website. Continued use of the website or our services constitutes acceptance of any revisions.

Special thanks to ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini AI for using their artificial brains to help Leon with this exhausting list of minutiae. Leon Megé does not like lawyers, and here is why: 99% of lawyers give the rest a bad name. We were forced to publish this text by a credit card processing company. By the way, since you spent so much time reading this, here is a lawyer joke for you:
Question: You meet Hitler, Stalin, and a lawyer and have a gun with only two bullets; what do you do?
Answer: Shoot the lawyer twice.
