Why are we different?

There are several types of retailers: traditional brick-and-mortar stores, virtual “Private Jewelers”, and online aggregators.

Some stores might have a few benches in the basement, mostly for repairs or an occasional custom project. As soon as you walk into their store, retailers will try to sell you something from stock. “Private jewelers” are a different kind of retailer. They troll the internet, casting a wide net mostly on social media. Many without a physical location, preferring to work from their living room. Some maintain offices and even showrooms well stocked with alcohol and fashion magazines full of pay-to-play editorials where they call themselves “jewelry designers”. They typically know a thing or two about jewelry styling, but are absolutely clueless about the mechanics of jewelry work. So they hire an outside contractor. You are left to pray that nothing is lost in the “Broken Telephone” communication chain (or “Chinese Whispers” to our culinary-challenged UK friends) between you, the marketing guru (aka “the designer”), the outside contractor, and finally their bench jeweler, who may or may not have been hired two days ago.

Online Aggregators are virtual operators, from corporate giants such as BlueNile, James Allen, and 1stDibs to a templated website without a street address and phone number. They list diamonds and jewelry they do not own and collect a hefty commission in the process. Their “custom work” typically originates from boxes of prefabricated castings or molded duplicates mass-produced overseas.

A Personal Jeweler is a craftsman, not a salesman, who accepts commissions directly from the end consumer. It means the ears that listen and the hands that do the work are attached to the same body. We design and build every setting around a specific center stone, ensuring exceptional precision, structural integrity, and a perfect fit. We create the complete piece, from the initial design to the final polish.

Backed by more than 40 years of master-level bench experience, our workshop offers unmatched technical expertise in metal forging. This is the highest form of bespoke jewelry craftsmanship, practiced by only a handful of the finest workshops worldwide. Rather than casting a prefabricated piece, the master jeweler forms every component at the bench using hand tools and traditional manufacturing techniques. We build our jewelry component by component. We construct each piece by cold-working, forging, and hand-cutting metal stock using nothing more than traditional bench tools. We forge, shape, and polish individual parts to perfection before assembly. This multi-part fabrication allows for razor-sharp transitions and unblemished internal surfaces that no single-pour casting can ever match. Setting each stone under a microscope ensures precision and absolute structural integrity.

The Flaws of CAD & Single-Pour Casting

Modern CAD casting dominates 99% of the jewelry market because it is the only way to mass-produce identical inventory. It greatly reduces production costs, especially when the piece is cast as a whole without any need for assembly. The trade-off is the inability to properly finish hard-to-reach surfaces or internal recesses. CAD production consistently compromises detail, dulls crisp junctions, and blurs intersecting surfaces all in the name of speed and margin. Where CAD shortcuts design to save time, hand-manufacturing produces a pure, optimal structure verified to perfection from every observable angle.
