Bridal Solitaires Engagement ring set with a single stone. A stone is floating over the finger. Minimum attention to the mounting, all attention for the stone. Solitaires with pave belong to 300 or 400-series.

  • – Classic solitaire – Traditional ring style with a two-tiered basket and cathedral shank
  • – Modern solitaire – Contemporary ring style with a two-tiered basket and uniform shank
  • – Tulip solitaire aka “Tiffany solitaire.” Typically a six-prong crown-style setting designed to hold a round stone.

Three- and five-stone ring
The elegant ring design where stones filed neatly in a row from East to West can have a number of stones, but combinations of three and five are most popular. Different shapes are synergized to produce a joined result greater than the sum.

The side stones’ purpose is to draw attention to the center stone’s importance (physical or spiritual). They are mirror reflections of each other on both sides of the center. Sides are tilted down, shadowing the shank’s curve. Most side stones are colorless diamonds.

Cluster ring Sometimes called a “Cocktail ring,” a cluster ring is a bouquet of shapes and, occasionally, colors that may or may not feature a keystone. Clusters built around a larger center are more traditional.

Those assembled from various shapes to form flower-like arrangements are more decorative in nature and allow for artistic freedom. Harry Winston pioneered high-end cluster design far beyond the “leftover mix” typical in low-end jewelry. Rounds, marquises, and pears are the most popular shapes used in clusters.

Depending on their pave styles, we categorize wedding bands into 100 and 200 series.

100-series bands are set with the bright-cut pave, giving them a square or rectangular profile.

200-series bands are set with modern pave: cut-down, fishtail, V-cut, or micro pave. They have a softer, rounded look.

There are only three types of engagement rings. Various “designs” you see in jewelry stores belong to one of these three categories modified by adding non-essential decorative elements. The basic styles are:

  • Solitaire
  • Halo
  • Three-stone

A solitaire is essentially a holder for a stone of any shape or type. When a solitaire is set with traditional bright-cut style pave it belongs to the Series 300, and modern pave to the Series 400.

The legendary Series 400 engagement rings by Leon Mege put the universe’s sheen and splendor right at your fingertips. All our Series 400 engagement rings are custom designed and could feature unique elements that are not the requisite parts of the design.

The style is based on a traditional solitaire design enhanced with a various number of pave rows. Series 400 features a modern style of pave.

Each style number in the series indicates how many rows of pave the ring has. The middle digit tells the number of rows on the ring’s head. The last digit tells the number of rows on the ring’s shank.
